Square-D Display Project

Behold!  My party light!  When this baby goes on, the shenanigans begin, boy!

This is an old salesman’s display box, showing a variety of industrial-grade switches that Square D (you know, the circuit breaker guys) made.  Some are designed to light up, some don’t.  That red one in the center lights up when you press it.  Kind of like a Fisher Price toy I might have had when I was a toddler.  These buttons are all worth a lot individually, so it’s well worth the $35 I paid for it on ebay, no matter what my wife thinks.  Ol’ Joseph Cornell’s got nothin’ on this boy.

This was actually kind of a challenge to me.  My mission was to make this as visually interesting a pic as I can, without sacrificing too much realism or detail.  I’m not sure I’m done with it but here are some of the results so far.  Click on them for a 1024px wide image to open in a new window.
