From the Wok Today, that being 02-09-11

By admin, February 10, 2011 5:20 am

These are pics of a very un-extraordinary dinner, but very colorful anyway.   At any rate, I’m grateful to have such great stuff to cook, to eat and to photograph, and I love cooking it up.

I thought I didn’t save these as progressive jpgs, but they seem to be loading like progressives (which means that when they load, at first they look out of focus and then they do another pass on the focus and tighten it up, so it takes a second to really see the image.)  Anyway, this is a pretty good example of what a good digital camera can do.   Click on them for full size.

Oh, we had salad too. :-)

More from the wok, OK!

Was working on a couple new recipes last night and whipped out the camera.  These really need to be viewed at full size, so click on them to open in a new window, and then your browser will probably shrink them to fit the window and you will need to click them again or so.

We Sauté asparagus, OK!

OK, I’m going to have to start a page for food pics.  But for now, here goes a couple nice pics from my wok once again.

Attack of the Gummy Worms & etc.

By admin, January 14, 2011 1:38 am

So it’s been a few weeks since I added a new post and I’ve just been adding photos to my old ones instead.   I’ve been very busy taking pics actually and I’ll dish up a few of the slightly nice ones.  For starters, let’s us have the gummy worms.  I’ll be adding more pics to this as the evening progresses and I polish off these gummy worms.

And then came the damn bears.  You know, if you are such a photo nerd/Thiebaud fan as to really like this stuff, you have to view them full size.  Just click on them.  And download them if you like them because I’m not leaving all this crap on the server forever.

And to this thread I’ll add more over the next day 0r two.   I’m out of gummy worms.

We sautée Mushroom

By admin, November 11, 2010 3:17 am

Hi, I sautéed some mushrooms and stuff.  Joyce Chen advertising is not intentional.

You know, I might as well mention that all these pics are just part of what this blog is supposed to be all about, but as I gradually get up to speed, this is what we’re doin’.  OK!

Note: some of these pics are not actually optimized for the size they are displayed at here.   These and any other pics on this web page can be opened in a new window, and you can see them at the actual size I saved them to.  :-)
